PURPOSE AND METHODS: Seven patients with diabetes mellitus (HbA1c: 706% ± 060%), HbA1c (1197% ± 165%) and control group (HbA1c: 485% ± 0 20%) 6 cases of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) saccharification were detected, while HDL antiserum was purified to anti-HDLIgG and horseradish peroxidase (horserdishperioxidase, HRP) labeling. The specific binding of HDL to cultured human lung fibroblasts (HLF) receptors was determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results: The glycosylation values of group Ⅰ, group Ⅱ and control group were 3926 ± 810, 7294 ± 640 and 2040 ± 110Glycogroup / HDL, respectively. Lower than that of the control group (P <001), while that of the Ⅱ group was lower than that of the I group (P <001). Conclusion: The HDL glycosylation in diabetic patients is higher than that in normal people, but the specific binding to cellular receptors is decreased
