日前,西班牙电信被英国选定为英国智慧网格项目的合作伙伴。根据英国智慧网格项目的规划,英国将在2020年前部署5300万个燃气和电力计量器,而西班牙电信则被选定为英国中南部地区该项目的首选通信服务商。这是西班牙电信在物联网领域取得的又一成果。英国希望通过这一工程让民众可以更清楚地获知自己使用能源的情况,并据此制订更高效的使用计划。据悉,西班牙电信旗下的英国公司O2击败了沃达丰等竞争者成为首选通信服务商。这一合作预计将为西班牙电信带来15亿英镑
