北京现代北京现代信息技术科于2002年7~8月间开始筹备。从一台台计算机开始建起,到2003年1月,包括各个车间、办公室在内的各部分网络设施已经建成联通。北京现代主要的IT系统采用的是韩国模式,把一套已经成熟的汽车专业系统直接引进来,再稍作修改,到2003年6、7月份,公司产能达到十万台,之后经过十五万、二十万、三十万几个产能台阶的逐步上升,信息化建设也同步地逐渐完善起来,目前已经上线了50多个子系统,各业务部门的信息化程度达到95%以上。在HR和财务方面则采用了SAP系统。
