The 15th International Symposium on Geological History and the Seventh Annual Meeting of the Geological History Research Society of China Geological Society were held at the China University of Geosciences in Beijing from October 25 to October 31, 1990 with over 120 Chinese and foreign scholars attended the conference . Among these are Zhang Bingxi, vice chairman of the International Union of Geological Science, M Gangao, chairman of the International Committee for Geosciences History, VV Chihomovov, vice chairman and U.B.
