宽带迅速普及,带宽越发廉价,可随着增值业务 IPTV、 VOIP 和漫游 VPN 的增多,运营商和大企业已经对普通 ADSL 的不对称的低速带宽、无 QOS 保障、无法延伸 VPN 而烦恼,05年末首次出现的万兆架构的 IP DSLAM,相当好地解决了这样的苦恼。以港湾网络的 Hammer10000万兆架构的 IP DSLAM 为例, 88G 大容量 IP 内核,每槽最大4G 带宽,上行2或4个万兆端口,还有6路光电互斥的 GE 和 FE 端口,单框可容纳448/672/896线 ADSL/ADSL2+或336/448线 VDSL2,并支持 GPON 和 WiMax。
