Wi-Fi网络朝着快速部署,便捷管理的方向发展,软件定义网络(SDN)的优势与Wireless的便利相结合为接入网络的发展带来了新的契机。文章以TCP视频流作为背景,定量地分析研究了OpenFlow交换机环境与二层交换机环境下的TCP流的性能,得到了在前者场景下比后者场景下的切换时延以及丢包数多等结论;定义了控制器对PacketIn报文的处理流程,测量了AP(Access Point)切换时延对TCP流的影响。文章为设计实现基于SDN的Wi-Fi网络提供了重要的参考依据。
The rapid development of Wi-Fi networks in the direction of easy management, the advantages of Software Defined Networking (SDN) and the convenience of Wireless brings a new opportunity for the development of access networks. Taking TCP video stream as a background, this paper quantitatively analyzes the performance of OpenFlow switch environment and TCP flow in Layer 2 switch environment, and obtains the conclusion that the switching delay and the number of dropped packets in the former scenario are more than the latter ; Defines the process of handling PacketIn packets by the controller, and measures the impact of AP handover delay on TCP flows. The article provides an important reference for designing SDN-based Wi-Fi networks.
