(2,2’-Amino- (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) diammonium salt] (ABTS) and iron ions were removed by scavenging DPPH free radicals The anti-oxidative capacity of Cistanche deserticola in different solvent extracts was evaluated by reduction / antioxidant capacity (FRAP) assay. CCl4-induced acute liver injury model was induced by intraperitoneal injection of carbon tetrachloride. Serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) Activity, liver index and malondialdehyde (MDA) content and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity in liver homogenate were used to evaluate the hepatoprotective effect of ethanol extract from Cistanche deserticola. The extracts of Cistanche deserticola showed better abilities of scavenging DPPH radical, ABTS radical and reducing Fe3 + -tripyridazotriazine (TPTZ), among which ethanol extract had the best antioxidant activity (3 methods of RACT50 The values of 3 534.32,2 726.39,2 621.68μmol / g) were similar to those of the positive control BHA (4 242.31,5 457.65 and 6 633.04μmol / g RACT50) (BHT) (RACT50 was 724.59,1 322.27,1 581.68μmol / g); and liver injury experiments showed that ethanol extract could significantly reduce the serum ALT, AST activity and liver homogenate MDA content, and can Significantly increased SOD in mouse liver. The results showed that Cistanche has a significant protective effect on carbon tetrachloride-induced acute liver injury in mice, and its mechanism may be related to its antioxidative effect.
