四川电力系统离休老干部自动集资为山区人民兴办电站,他们与云阳县沙沱区联合修建的沙沱水电站,在云阳县的大力支持下,1987年3月下旬竣工,经试车检验,运行良好,现已正式投产。 沙沱水电站是云阳县沙市乡沙市村八组的村办电站,利用溶洞水发电。溶洞常年泉水流量0.2～0.4m~3/s,落差32m,装100千瓦水轮发电机一台,投资14.6万元。其中,老干部集资9.6万元,沙沱区5万元,投产2个月,发电7.4万余度,产值5000元,为山区建设发挥了作用。
