每年秋季,当其他孩子在学校的教室里玩积木、画画、训练静坐,为将来13年的教室生活做准备时,一批新的学龄前儿童动身前往Fiddleheads森林学校,体验他们别具一格的入学生活。学校座落在美国西雅图植物园旁边,它的“教室”是植物园里的一片广阔空地,“屋顶”则是一整片绿意葱茏的雪松、冷杉和枫树。在这所森林幼儿学校,三四岁的孩子整天待在室外。孩子们聚在一起,玩着泥巴,闻泥土的芳香;在树桩之间跳跃,爬到树木间互相嬉闹。他们在老师的帮助下观察蟋蟀的样子,了解森林中
Each fall, while other children play blocks, draw and train in school classrooms to prepare for 13 years of classroom life in the future, a group of new preschoolers start their journey to Fiddleheads Forest School to experience their unique school life . The school is located next to the Seattle Botanical Garden in the United States. Its “classroom” is a vast expanse of open space in the Botanic Gardens, while “Roofs” is a lush green cedar, fir and maple. In this toddler school, three or four year olds stay outdoors all day long. The children gathered together, playing with the mud and smelling the fragrance of the earth; jumping between the stumps and climbing among the trees to play with each other. They watch the cricket look with the help of the teacher and learn about the forest
