This book is a collection of theses from the Washington University Symposium. Since 1973, Western social critics have made subtle comparative studies of Marx and Engels' theory of establishing a good society and the present practical experience of the Soviet Union, China and Yugoslavia. This book compiles articles that hold a variety of perspectives on this issue.
