邓小平同志指出:我们的前途在很大程度上要看我们对接班人培养得怎么样。这是个战略问题,是决定我们命运的问题,是关系到我们党和国家长远利益的大同题。党的基本路线要管一百年,就要靠建设一支高素质跨世纪的年轻干部队伍。这既是一项艰巨的任务,也是一项宏大的系统工程,需要全党动手,从多方面共同努力,在抓落实上狠下功夫。
Comrade Deng Xiaoping pointed out: Our future depends to a large extent on how well our successors are trained. This is a strategic issue, a matter that determines our destiny, and a common theme that concerns the long-term interests of our party and our country. In order to control the basic line of the party for a hundred years, we must rely on building a contingent of young cadres of high-quality and cross-centuryism. This is both a daunting task and a grand systematic project. It requires the entire party to work together, make concerted efforts from many aspects and make great efforts in implementing the plan.
