自清中叶皮黄腔开始合流至道光年间,徽汉二调在北京成为京剧唱腔的主体,对于京剧唱腔的记录与研究就成为一种延续不断的文化行为。《京剧腔典》即从大量的京剧剧目中挖掘疏理传统唱腔、创新唱腔;《京剧腔典》要记录贯穿的是一种流传久远,带有若干历史文化信息,反映了人类在某一阶段的精神创造财富。这是一项具有遗产价值、艺术价值、可发展价值的科技创新文化工程。
