我国母语语言文字教育的低效率,曾引起许多语文教育工作者和社会有识之士的深切忧虑.其实,关于语文教学“少、慢、差、费,(叶圣陶先生提法)的概念,也许只是人们对于祖国语言文字教育低效率所作出的一个笼统的批评,而其确定内涵,笔者以为,是否可以取得这样一个共识:即语文教学规律少,速度慢,效果差,课时费.但是我认为,我国母语语文教育的这种落后状况,不是汉语言文字本身的弊端所致,而是很长历史时期以来,语文教育的体制违背汉民族语言文字的教学规律而人为造成的.要想真正改变我国母语语文教育“少、慢、差、费”的落后局面,提高语文教学效率,搞好语文教改的唯一出路,关键在于母语语文教育理论和实践要统一起来,把握住汉民族语言文字和中国语文教学的规律,走出一条民族化、科学化、大众化的道路来.
