苏局仙先生1882年(清·光绪三十一年)生于上海浦东周浦,24岁时考中末科第16名秀才。1949年,全国尚存8名进士,1名举人,21名秀才,苏为其中最后一名离世者。自幼爱好书法的苏局仙先生,是中国书法家协会会员、上海书法家协会名誉理事、上海文史馆馆员等。1979年,上海《书法》杂志举行全国业余书法大赛,苏局仙手书长卷《兰亭序》荣膺一等奖。
Mr. Su Secretary Xian was born in Shanghai Pudong Zhoupu in 1882 (Qing Guangxu thirty-one years of age), when he was 24 years old, he took the 16th scholar of Zhongdi Ke. In 1949, there were eight Chinas, one juren and 21 scholar survivors in the country. Su was the last of them to leave. Mr. SU, the forerunner of calligraphy, was a member of China Calligraphers Association, honorary director of Shanghai Calligraphers Association, librarian of Shanghai Museum of History and so on. In 1979, Shanghai “Calligraphy” magazine held a national amateur calligraphy competition, the Soviet Union cents hand book scroll “Orchid Pavilion” won the first prize.
