在伦敦地区，医疗机构分布不合理。在病床紧张，一般疾病治疗不及时的情况下，存在着相对大量的高技术专科治疗中心。本文指出，由于片面追求高技术科学研究，使居民利益受到损害。由于没有真正从基础研究做起，难以取得科技领域的重大飞跃。这些特权医院独立于国家卫生服务体系之外，不承受市场竞争的压力。文章指出，把医院与基础科学中心联系起来，是真正获得优势的途径之一。
In London, medical institutions are unreasonably distributed. There is a relatively large number of high-tech specialist treatment centers when the bed is strained and the general treatment is not timely. This article points out that due to the pursuit of high-tech scientific research in a one-sided manner, the interests of residents have been damaged. Since we have not really started from basic research, it is difficult to achieve a major leap forward in the field of science and technology. These privileged hospitals are independent of the national health service system and do not bear the pressure of market competition. The article points out that linking the hospital to the basic science center is one of the ways to really gain an advantage.
