英语是一种节奏感很强的语言。它听起来轻重交替,抑扬顿挫,和谐优美。而重音则是英语节奏的基础。我们知道,英语重音,既可以识别词性,又具有表意功能。有些单词、复合词或句子,重音一旦移位,其意义必然产生微妙乃至很大的变化。重音错误不仅导致英语节奏失真,听起来不伦不类,而且容易产生歧义,引起误解,难以达到交际的目的。本文分别论述了词语和句子中重音换位对语义所产成的影响。
English is a very rhythmic language. It sounds light and heavy, cadence, harmonious and beautiful. Stress is the basis of English rhythm. We know that English stress can not only recognize the part of speech, but also express the function. Some words, compound words or sentences, once the stress shift, the meaning of its subtle and even great changes. Accent errors not only lead to English rhythm distortion, sounds neither fish nor fowl, but also prone to ambiguity, causing misunderstanding, it is difficult to achieve the purpose of communication. This article discusses the impact of semantic transposition of words and sentences in semantics.
