孔加工刀具包括麻花钻、扩孔钻、锪钻、铰刀、镗刀等多种,其中麻花钻应用最广。根据钻头材质的不同,麻花钻可分为高速钢麻花钻和硬质合金麻花钻两大类。使用高速钢钻头时,如果对切削刃部(顶角,横刃,前角,后角等)不作任何刃磨就使用,或者无目的、无要求的妄磨,都属于不合理的使用。要物尽其用,必须按被加工材料的不同性质和各种加工条件的要求对钻尖部分进行不同的刃磨,这样才能使钻头真正发挥其应有的效能。换言之,刃磨钻头前必须了解钻头各部分的功效和被加工材料的特性以及两者之间的矛盾,了解钻孔过程中所产生的各种问题,这样才能有针对性地对钻头进行刃磨。
