Boron neutron therapy (BNCT) in trials and studies requires the design of dedicated reactors to meet the needs of large-scale treatment. In studies of reactor use for low-temperature nuclear heating, simple, safe and pressure-free cell stacks can meet the needs of urban heating while pool heaters provide inexpensive radiant energy. Therefore, a new design of the pool coupling reactor is proposed, which combines the production of BNCT with mature medical radioisotopes to construct a medical reactor with a power of 12 MW. Medical heap and 120MW nuclear heating reactor coupling construction, construction investment is low. Comprehensive utilization of radiation and heat supply, medical reactor nuclear fuel costs dropped significantly. This low-cost reactor provides a good reality for the construction of this type of dedicated reactor.
