国际微重力科学与应用学术会议经过3年的筹备,于1993年5月10日—13日在北京隆重举行.本次会议是由中国科学院主办,国家科委、国家空间领导小组办公室、国家基金委、中国空间技术研究院会同美国宇航局、欧洲空间局、德国空间局、法国空间局、加拿大空间局、日本宇宙事业开发团以及各主要航天国家微重力科学中心共同发起举办的.来自14个国家和地区的200多位科学家出席了会议.中国科学院院长周光召和国家基金委主任张存浩参加开幕式并作重要讲话,中国科协主席朱光亚、副主席林兰英、国家科委副主任惠永正等有关单位的领导参加了会议.中国科学院空间科学与应用总体部副主任、大会学委会主席胡文瑞教授
