江苏地方志记载的淮安地区药物主要存在以下问题:1多个版本地方志记载药物存在重复现象,《光绪安东县志》《同治重修山阳县志》和《光绪丙子清河县志》均记载了瓜蒌,而且分别记载了瓜蒌、栝篓、瓜篓等不同的书写方法,这可能与地方志编撰时相互参考有关。2对药物记载普遍存在内容不够详细,仅记载其植物特点、生长特点,有些药物记载了功能主治、毒性,但普遍缺少药物使用方法及处方、案例等具体的内容,这可能与地方志主要编纂者的写作指导思想及目的有关,尚不能满足专业人士阅读和学习的要求。3本地产具有治疗作用的特殊药物,如乳丁草、萆麻子、紫荆龙、望江南、地敷子、藿虱、铁片7种,建议当地研究者能够在民间寻访确定药物品种,并进一步研究和开发利用,造福人类健康。
