三爪卡盘是机械加工中广泛使用的夹具,其特点是使所夹持的园形工件中心能自动对准卡盘轴线(自定心)。目前,全国生产的三爪自定心卡盘,大部分是平面螺纹型的。其结构是:盘体内部的中心轮背面有伞齿轮,与安装在盘体侧面的小伞齿轮啮合,当卡盘板手旋转小伞齿轮时,带动中心轮旋转,从而中心轮正面的平面螺纹(盘丝)迫使与其啮合的三个卡爪在盘体工字槽内沿盘体半径方向移动,以夹紧或撑持工件。(图1)
