2007年,香港导演王家卫出任第59届戛纳电影节评委会主席,成为戛纳史上第一位中国主席。法国观众和媒体对此欣然接受,因为中国电影人是戛纳电影节的常客,每个月法国都有一部中国电影公映,法国人熟悉了中国电影。
In 2007, Hong Kong director Wong Kar-Wai was the chairman of the 59th Cannes Film Festival Jury and became the first Chinese president in Cannes history. French audiences and the media are glad to accept this because Chinese filmmakers are frequent visitors to the Cannes Film Festival. Each month France has a Chinese film released and the French are familiar with Chinese films.
