加入 WTO，是我国深化改革、扩大开放和加快社会主义现代化建设进程中的重大事件，是我国经济发展的内在要求和客观需要。 当前，我国加入世界贸易组织在即。加入 WTO对我国社会稳定和公安工作可能带来哪些影响，怎样才能做好加入 WTO后的各项公安工作，已经成为摆在各级党委、政府特别是公安机关面前一项重大而紧迫的任务。我们对我国加入 WTO后影响社会稳定和公安工作的有关问题进行综合调查研究，目的在于应对形势发展的需要，同时启迪大家思考。
Joining the WTO is a major event in the process of deepening the reform, opening wider to the outside world and speeding up socialist modernization. It is an inherent requirement and an objective need for our economic development. At present, China’s accession to the World Trade Organization is imminent. How WTO accession to social stability and public security work in our country may affect the public security work after the accession to the WTO has become a major and urgent task facing party committees and governments at various levels, especially the public security organs. After conducting a comprehensive investigation on the issues affecting social stability and public security after China’s accession into the WTO, we aimed at responding to the needs of the development of the situation and enlightening our thinking.
