坚持为冶金工业生产建设服务,是冶金地质部门的基本任务.我们首钢地质勘探公司不但要通过自身的找矿勘探活动,不断提交地质成果,而且要逐步提高地质经济效益,促进矿山生产和冶金工业的发展.1970年以来,为了解决首钢矿石自给,我们积极采取了矿种、地区和力量三集中的措施,把地质工作的重心转到了为现有生产建设矿区服务的方针上来.经过十多年的努力,我们这支约1000人的勘探队伍,在为解决首钢矿石自给、平衡矿山稳产高产、协调矿山自然接替以及为矿山总体规划、提高经济效益等方面,均作了一定贡献.使迁安矿区的储量,最近五年平均每年增长1.3亿吨左右.
