Anlan Suspension Bridge,known as the oldest bamboo chain bridge,crosses the Minjiang River bestriding the water of the Inner Canal and Outer Canal to connect Erwang Temple with the Dujiangyan Irrigation System which was engineered by Li Bing and his son during the Qin Dynasty(221-207 BC). It is impossible to know the exact year when the bridge was built, but historical records indicate that its construction was no late than that of the Dujiangyan Irrigation System.
