本文针对ESP(专门用途英语)和双语教学的国内外发展及研究现状以及存在的问题进行回顾和分析。开设ESP课程的目的应该是结合专业知识的语言技能学习而不是用英语学习系统的专业知识,ESP的教学阶段应该是从大学一般用途英语到双语教学的过渡阶段,大学生应该从低年级开始进行专业英语词汇的积累,在外语语言基础较为厚实的基础上推进双语教学。教材的选用主要以所面对的学生和所学专业为根据,涉猎外文原版教材并进行改编、自编,采取“拿来主义”的办法,有选择地把英语专业教材的内容融进自己所编的教材中,渐进式培养学生的语言和思维习惯。
This article reviews and analyzes the status quo and existing problems of ESP (Specialized English) and bilingual teaching at home and abroad. The purpose of offering ESP courses should be to combine the language skills of professional knowledge rather than the professional knowledge of English learning system. The teaching phase of ESP should be the transition from general English to bilingual teaching in universities. Students should start their studies from the lower grades English vocabulary accumulation, based on the foreign language is more solid foundation to promote bilingual teaching. The selection of teaching materials is based mainly on the students and the majors they study. It is based on the original textbooks of foreign languages and is adapted and compiled by ourselves. The method of “taking” is adopted to selectively incorporate the contents of English majors In their own textbooks, gradual training of students’ language and thinking habits.
