粤星为番茄一代杂种，抗青枯病、抗ＴＭＶ，中抗ＣＭＶ，每６６７ｍ２产量约３０００ｋｇ。果实卵圆形，鲜红且有光泽、风味酸甜适中、平均单果重８５ｇ，果实较硬，裂果率８．５４％，畸形果率０．０５％，耐贮运、适于外贸出口。在华南地区从播种到初收约８０天。至１９９４年底已在广东、广西、福建、海南、江西等地示范推广８００ｈｍ２以上。
