Lacey Velen, the radiant Nordic star’s achievement at the Olympics, can not be done or emulated by any long-distance runner in the 20th century. He shockingly won two consecutive championships of 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters at the Olympics, becoming not only the new long-run hero in Finland, but also the same as Rumi, Korhemening and Salminin Finnish athletics legend. In 1972, Velen won two gold medals at the Munich Olympics, making his reputation and glory suddenly surpass the historic players Rumy, Zappep and Kurt, and other long-distance runners in Finland Infused with new energy.
