Tooth abrasion in human teeth refers to the abrasion loss of tooth crown enamel, dentin, and even tooth root bone caused by direct contact between teeth or contact of foreign materials such as teeth with food during chewing and non-chewing movements of teeth. The former includes the adjacent teeth and teeth corresponding to the upper and lower jaws caused by contact with each other wear. The latter is tooth wear caused by contact of the tooth with food or non-food stuff.
