国内外现有的英语元话语研究大多关注书面语篇,主要集中于写作与教学领域,很少关注互动中的元话语现象,而对总统竞选电视辩论这一体裁的元话语研究更是少之又少。本文基于Hyland的人际元话语模式,选取2016美国总统竞选三场辩论为语料,对比两位总统候选人特朗普和希拉里论辩过程中元话语的使用情况,试图发现性别不同的候选人在元话语使用上的差异与共性。
At present, English meta-discourse studies both at home and abroad mainly focus on written discourse, which mainly focuses on the field of writing and teaching, and seldom focuses on the meta-discourse phenomenon in the interaction. However, there are few studies on the meta-discourse of presidential election television debates less. Based on Hyland’s interpersonal meta-discourse model, this article selects three debates in the 2016 U.S. presidential election as corpora to compare the use of metadiscourse in the arguments of two presidential candidates, Trump and Hillary Clinton, Differences and Similarities in the Use of Discourse.
