随着全球化的发展以及对专业人才的需求,现行的大学英语教学模式已经不能很好地适应时代的需求。现行《大学英语课程教学要求》也提出了相应的培养目标即培养学生英语综合应用能力、提高学生文化素养和自主学习能力。而以学科内容为依托的语言教学模式主张结合学科内容知识学习和语言学习,以语言为知识学习的媒介,以知识学习促进语言的发展,促进学生自主学习能力发展,是实现大学英语教学目标可行有效的途径。
