棉籽油是一种比较理想的食用植物油。据统计,占世界植物油供应总量的1/10。榨过油的棉仁粉含蛋白质高达40~50%,是巨大的植物蛋白质资源之一。但由于棉籽中含有一种黑褐色的多酚类色素——棉毒素,对人和单胃动物有毒害,因而限制了棉籽的利用价值。目前食用的棉籽油大多应用色素腺体脱毒工艺,这样加工不仅降低出油率,提高了加工成本,而且降低了棉油的营养价值。榨过油的棉仁粉大部分用作有机肥料,这是一个很大的浪费。自七十年代初,我国一些棉花科研单位先后引进无棉毒素品种资源,并开展了育种工作,把棉花作为纤维、油料和粮食三位一体作物的综合利用开辟了更广阔的前景。我所自1972年引进马里无棉毒素棉以来,便开始了这项育种工作。截至目前为止,已选
Cottonseed oil is an ideal edible vegetable oil. According to statistics, accounting for the world’s total supply of vegetable oil 1/10. Pressurized cottonseed meal contains protein up to 40 ~ 50%, is one of the huge plant protein resources. However, the cottonseed contains a dark brown polyphenolic pigment - cotton toxin, which is toxic to humans and monogastric animals, thus limiting the use value of cottonseed. At present, most of the consumption of cottonseed oil detoxification pigmentation technology, so that processing not only reduces the oil yield, increased processing costs, but also reduces the nutritional value of cottonseed oil. Most of pressed cottonseed meal is used as organic fertilizer, which is a big waste. Since the early 1970s, some cotton research institutes in our country have successively introduced cotton-free toxin resources and carried out breeding work. This has opened up broader prospects for the comprehensive utilization of cotton as a trinity crop of fibers, oilseeds and grains. Since I introduced Mali cotton-free toxin cotton in 1972, I started this breeding work. So far, selected
