所谓体验式旅游,是指“为游客提供参与性和亲历性活动,使游客从中感悟快乐。”人们开展旅游活动大多是为了扩展个人视野,感受不同的生活体验或者获取个人生活范围以外的信息。对比于传统的观光式旅游,除了为游客提供一种游览的满足感,体验式旅游更着重的是给游客带来一种异于其本身生活的体验,让体验者沉浸在自我视野的扩大与释放中,从而放飞心情,在旅行中寻找另一个自己。
