据媒体报道,在沂蒙革命老区山东省日照市莒县有1.3万多名在新中国成立以前入党的农村老党员,其中800多人至今健在,他们的平均年龄90岁,平均党龄70年。革命战争年代,他们在枪林弹雨中出生入死;新中国成立后,他们响应号召扎根农村。在他们身上折射了共产党人的意志品质,不忘初心,为崇高理想奋斗终生。那些老党员,每个人几乎都有一段不寻常的传奇人生,在长期的革命、建设和生活中,都永葆入党初心和党员本色。对于选择,他们矢志不移,从未动摇;为了信仰,他们甘愿付出,奋斗终生,从未迟疑,树立起党员的标杆。
According to media reports, there are over 13,000 veteran rural party members who joined the party before the foundation of People’s Republic of China in the Yimeng revolutionary old town of Yimeng.
