几千年来,在人类生活中扮演着重要角色的色彩不光有其本意,更被人们赋予了某些特定的象征意义,文化不同,色彩的象征意义也便不同。我们中国人学外语不能简单地把一个个外语单词与它所代表的汉语意思对等起来,望文生义地去理解其真实的含义,而要重视了解两种文化之间的差异,用外语民族的习惯和思维方式去学习外语,这一点,对于从事外语教学和外语学习同等重要。本文将对红色在英汉语言中的象征意义进行对比分析,以期能对相关人员有所裨益。
