采用Sm-Nd法对萨斯喀彻温省北部科林斯湾不整合型铀矿床的原生沥青铀矿矿化的年龄进行了测定。获得的矿物等时线年龄(1281±0.80 Ma)与其它的地质和地质年代学资料相一致,证明Sm-Nd法是一项直接测定热液矿床年龄的潜在方法。
Sm-Nd method was used to determine the age of primary pitch uranium mineralization of unconformity uranium deposit in the northern Collins Bay, Saskatchewan. The obtained mineral isochron age (1281 ± 0.80 Ma) is in agreement with other geologic and geochronological data, demonstrating that the Sm-Nd method is a potential method to directly measure the age of hydrothermal deposits.
