周文玖著《史学史导论》(学苑出版社2006年出版)分上、中、下三篇。上篇是学科理论,中篇是学科史专论,下篇是20世纪中国史学,共31万字。该书上篇“学科理论”包括史学史的学科性质、科学价值和社会价值;史学史的学科体系及分支学科;史学史的主要范畴;史学史研究的理论和方法。关于史学史的学科性质,此书从历史学的体系和历史学发展史的角度论述史学史是一门反思性很强的学科,它的产生是人类历史活动更加自觉 Zhou Wen Jiu “Introduction to Historiography” (Court Press 2006 published) points, middle and lower three.
