In March 1993, Chenghua District was approved as “Individual and Private Economic Experimental Zone” by the provincial government. After unremitting efforts throughout the region in the past three years, the individual and private economy in our region has enjoyed unprecedented growth and the economic outlook has also been greatly improved. The individual and private economy has become a decisive force in the economic development strategy of our region. After three years of trial, the development of individuals and private enterprises in our region has been developing rapidly. In respect of the number of households, employees, registered capital, output value and operating income, the number of individual industrial and commercial households increased by 40%, 54%, 45% and 178% respectively over the number of “experimental zones”
