GPS was established by the U.S. Department of Defense for military purposes to completely solve the navigation and positioning problems of maritime, airborne and land-based vehicles. All 24 satellites launched. The entire system was completed in 1993. More than 4 satellites can be observed simultaneously and anywhere in the world at any time, with global, all-weather and continuous 2D positioning and navigation capabilities. 1GPS
