徐渭、汤显祖为明代戏剧领域成就最高的两大剧作家,具有新的思想模式、人格模式、生活模式。比较而言,徐渭充分开掘杂剧这一艺术样式,完成了中国戏剧文学由元代的政治、社会层面到中晚明人生意识觉醒层面的超越;汤显祖的传奇创作不仅培植了艺术奇葩,更提供了一种新的人生境界,成为中晚明人性解放思潮中的一面旗帜。两人观点相近,声气相通,共同构建了明代戏剧的宏伟大厦。
Xu Wei and Tang Xianzu are the two greatest playwrights in the field of drama in the Ming Dynasty. They have a new ideological mode, personality mode, and life style. In comparison, Xu Wei fully explores the artistic style of the drama and accomplishes the transcendence of the Chinese drama literature from the political and social aspects of the Yuan Dynasty to the awareness of life consciousness of the late Ming Dynasty.
