Looking Back In 2004, when I was curator of the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, the Art Museum organized an exhibition that focused on examining the fake and counterfeit collections. The tendency of the exhibition to be technologically focused is more on the scientific method behind the screening of true and false than on the more profound art history or philosophical connotation - an oversight of mine in the past.
