科学还原与科学革命是科学哲学研究中的一对核心概念。与简单的对立观不同,本文认为,科学还原与科学革命的关系并不是绝对的互斥和对立,而是具有一种新的关系结构。这种新的关系结构具有互补性、互助性和互融性,并且与新近弦论哲学界所聚焦的“对偶性”一脉相承。基于这种新理解,我们既可以厘清当代科学哲学的演化脉络,消除认识误解,又可以为科学哲学的未来走向提供某些启示。
Scientific reduction and scientific revolution are a pair of core concepts in the study of philosophy of science. Different from the simple opposite view, this paper argues that the relationship between scientific restoration and scientific revolution is not absolute mutual exclusion and opposition, but rather has a new relationship structure. This new structure of relations is complementary, mutually supportive and interdependent, and is in the same vein as the “duality” focused by the neo-philosophical philosophies. Based on this new understanding, we can not only clarify the evolution of contemporary philosophy of science, eliminate misunderstanding, but also provide some inspiration for the future direction of philosophy of science.
