1943年春,我党领导的八路军,来到河北省乐亭县,开辟新的抗日根据地。当年夏,在路南地区建立了昌(黎)乐(亭)联合县,并成立昌乐县知识界抗日救国会(简称“知救会”)。并先后把教师队伍中的骨干积极分子,集中到乐亭县何新庄百善小学及其周围学校任职,以此为中心,开展知识界的抗日活动。首先创办了《七月》文艺双月刊杂志。半年后,又办了《农民报》。
In the spring of 1943, the Eighth Route Army led by our party came to Laoting County, Hebei Province, opening up a new anti-Japanese base area. In the summer of the year, Changhe (Li) Le Pavilion was established in Luonan area and Changle County Intellectuals Anti-Japanese National Salvation Association was established. He also successively arranged the backbone activists in the contingent of teachers to work in the schools and schools around Hexinzhuang Baoshan Elementary School in Laoting County, taking this as the center and carrying out the anti-Japanese activities of the intellectual circles. First founded “July” bimonthly magazine. Six months later, they did a “peasant newspaper.”
