Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect of low-intensity lasers on pain relief during elastic orthodontic tooth decay. Methods Sixty cases of pre-fixed orthodontic patients were randomly divided into laser irradiation group and placebo-treated group, 30 cases each. Elastic rubber bands were used to separate the teeth for 120 hours. After elastic subdentation rings were placed for 2, 6, 24, 72 and 120h, the laser irradiation group irradiated the buccal root apex of the first molars by irradiation with laser light and the irradiation time was 30s / Times. The output power of the comfort treatment group was zero laser irradiation at the same irradiation site. The visual acuity scale (VAS) was used to evaluate the dental pain intensity of the two components and the influence of low-intensity laser on the tartar pain was analyzed. Results The elastomeric partial crowns were placed on 2,6,24,72 h. The VAS score of laser irradiation group was lower than that of placebo group (P <0.01). Conclusion Low-intensity laser irradiation can effectively reduce the pain during orthodontic treatment.
