大学外语通识课程建设是目前大学外语教学服务于社会的一个重要因素,也是目前实现大学外语教学提高学生素质的重要手段。本文从大学外语通识课程建设的意义、目前国内外通识教育研究现状、大学外语通识课程要构建合理而科学的课程体系、建立科学的教学评价体系、提高外语教师的综合素质、调整基础课程和选修课程的最佳比例等方面论述了如何建设大学外语通识课,并提出采取不同手段科学地设置大学外语通识课程,使大学外语通识课程设置具有合理性和可行性。
