素有“莲城”美称的许昌市,早在宋代就以荷花闻名天下。每至仲夏,许昌市护城河内的荷花竞相开放,城区便呈现出“红绿交映,风景如画。十里荷花,江湖极目”的壮美景观。水更美更清,荷花清香愈远。2013年,水利部批复了全国首批水生态文明建设试点,许昌市成功入选。以建设水生态文明城市为突破口,许昌市将规划建设一系列水利相关工程,打造人水和谐的靓丽“水城”。缺水痛盼水切然而,现实的状况却是,许昌一直是一个水资源匮乏的城市,历史上大旱之年群众吃水都是问题。因为供水不足,老一辈市民心中难以忘却的回忆就是排队接水。
