The uncertain economic outlook of the world’s major oil consuming countries, the weak fundamentals of supply and demand and the drastic drop in gold prices caused investors to withdraw their funds from the stock market and commodity markets one after another, prompting the crude oil price to plunge in April. In late October, crude oil prices rebounded due to the bargain hunters in the futures market and concerns over the stability in the Middle East caused by the Syrian war.
