英语阅读教学应从提高学生理解能力着手,将学生的阅读变为一种主动的、积极的过程,以激发学生的学习兴趣。有效的阅读并非精确的知觉与辨认所有文字成分,而是选择最少的线索以产生有效的猜测的一种技能。阅读理解不仅是语言文字的加工,也是读者已有的对客观世界所了解的知识的运用过程。但是,如何进行中学英语阅读教学才能使阅读达到最佳效果呢,实践证明,图式理论提供了一条有效的途径。
English reading teaching should start with improving students' ability of comprehension, and turn students' reading into a proactive and positive process to stimulate students' interest in learning. Effective reading is not a precise perception and identification of all textual components, but a skill of choosing the fewest threads to produce effective guesses. Reading comprehension is not only the processing of spoken and written language, but also the process by which the readers already know the knowledge of the objective world. However, how to carry out English reading teaching in secondary schools to achieve the best reading effect? Practice has proved that schema theory provides an effective way.
