Documentaries and reality shows are becoming increasingly popular nowadays. Uncritical audience might easily take what is represented in the documentaries and reality shows as reality. This paper analyzes a BBC documentary calledAre Our Kids Tough Enough, Chinese schoolfrom the perspective of CDA, and points out that what is represented in the documentary isnt the whole truth. Audiences should raise their critical awareness towards media.
