Preface Steel gate panel calculations In the past design specifications, the Bach formula was used for a long time in Germany’s twentieth-century empirical formula. The problems existing in the Bach formula (see details below) have already been discovered, but because there are no other economically reasonable formulas that can be applied, they have remained in the original steel gate design specifications. In foreign countries, the Soviet Union and West Germany have gradually abandoned the Bach formula in the current steel gate design specifications after the 1960s. In short, from the perspective of the history and the status quo at home and abroad, Bach’s formula is already very backward and outdated, and it cannot adapt to the requirements of steel gate design and development.
